This helmet was produced with the name MK I mod. 1915 "Brodie Pattern" (wide model). It was constructed in mild steel and weighed about 900 grams. It was redisegned in 1916 to make it more robust and was put into production as the MK I mod. 1916. The material was manganese steel, the weight was less than a KG.
