This type of hand grenade was called "DANCER" because around the wooden handle was fixed a kind of parachute that opened when the bomb fell to the ground. Going down the parachute opened and the bomb burst at a certain height from the ground. Seen from afar, the parachute seemed like the skirt pf a dancer.
