Alpine infantry troops (from now on: ALPINI) are an elite department. All of the Alpini regiments are used in war. Alpini troops are recruited and arranged in regiments according to their geographical origin.

The Alpini hat is special, it has a feather that sets it apart. The Alpini did not want to wear helments during the war.

The small hat looks like a child's hat; this shows the link between the mountain people and the Alpini.
